Surprise Guests!!

Brian and Genie Smart were staying as my guests and had gone to The Artichoke Inn, Christow for supper whilst I’d gone to my nephew’s Graduation Supper. On my return at 22.30, imagine my surprise (and delight) to see a large BMW Motorbike on the cobbled drive and lights on in the other double bedroom!!
On entering the house Brian had kindly left me a note to say “Ian I’ve booked a young and very nice Finnish couple in for the night, they’ve signed the visitors book and want breakfast at 8.15 with us that’s 2 Full English please!!”
I met Jyrki (top right) and his wife Veronika in the morning over breakfast and they were delightful – we all had a jolly and lively political and Scandinavian based discussion over the breakfast table and then I watched in awe as they got rigged with black leather everything and a helmet from Starwars etc in preparation for their onward journey to Cornwall. A great experience and delightful guests.
